Travel information and prices on www.countrygetaways.com.au are provided and coordinated by the Country Getaways Accommodation Holiday Rental team. Country Getaways (CG) has taken due care and responsibility to verify and check all information is accurate at the time of compilation.
All services and prices are subject to change without notice. All photographs on the property pages may be updated or changed at any time and are accurate to the best of our knowledge.

Our team continue to take additional precautions regarding cleaning in the interest of everyone's safety (Guest, Owners and Cleaners).
Quilts & pillows are provided at all properties, but we recommend that guests bring their own pillows.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Number Of Guests
-
Strictly as per your booking. Exceeding the declared number of guests in your booking is considered by Country Getaways to be a breach of legal contract between us.
-
The person whose name the booking is in must be aged 18 years or over, and is responsible for the booking and behaviour of all guests staying.
-
Some properties have bunk beds which are only suitable for children, please refer to the property descriptions for each property, and note that maximum adults restrictions will apply.
- Please note below for age of guests in any booking:
- Adults, 18 years and over
- Child, 3 to 17 years
- Infant, under 3 years

Strictly no parties or functions. If either are discovered, Police may be called, you will be asked to leave and there will be no refund of any bond paid. If no bond has been paid, a minimum charge of $500 will be debited to your card. If in doubt, please talk to us for clarification.

Caravans, motorhomes, campervans and the erection of tents or swags is not allowed in, near or on the property grounds. If found, immediate eviction of all guests will occur and no monies refunded. An additional $300 may be payable if evidence of camping is found.
2. Linen
-
Some properties have linen included or as an optional purchase. Most properties supply quilts, blankets and pillows; with guests to bring their own bed linen (sheets & pillowcases), bath towels, bath mats, hand towels and tea-towels; please refer to property details regarding linen requirements.
-
Please note that to comply with health & safety, linen (eg sheets, pillowcases) must be used on all beds.
-
Optional linen hire is available in a range of towns, supplying sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats, hand towels & tea towels. Please refer to the website for properties which have linen hire available.
-
Guests can also choose to have beds made up for their stay when hiring linen, bookable through the Country Getaways office for a fee.
-
Please note that at busy times of the year, linen hire may be subject to availability.
-
Linen hire cannot be guaranteed for last-minute requests or after arrival, and guests may be advised of alternate solutions if they have not brought linen to use for their stay.
3. Pets
-
Thanks to conscientious pet owners we are lucky to have a large selection of pet friendly homes available.
-
Please refer to the individual property information to find out whether pets are allowed inside or outside only. It is important to note that not all pet friendly properties allow pets inside.
-
Please advise Country Getaways of your pets breed and age, when booking. Details regarding your pet will be shown on your booking documents.
-
A $100 refundable pet bond applies per pet, and only at properties that are advertised as pet friendly.
-
Maximum 2 dogs per booking in compliance with council by-laws.
-
It is your responsibility to be mindful of good pet etiquette, clean up any droppings left and respect the owner's property and the Pet Rules.
-
Bring your own pet beds and under no circumstances allow pets on the furniture or house beds.
-
Failure to comply with the pet rules will result in loss of the bond paid, or additional charges.
-
Your bond will be forfeited if extra cleaning is required to remove pet hair, faeces, etc.
-
If a pet has stayed at a property but Country Getaways was not advised, a $100 amount will be charged to the credit card on file.
-
Puppies are not permitted at any property (dogs under the age of 1 year are classified as a puppy).
-

4. Refundable Bond
- Security Bond
- A refundable security bond may be payable for a property; a bond may also be required in lieu of credit card details for security prior to obtaining key details.
- Pet Bond
- At a pet friendly property, a minimum $100 refundable pet bond is to be paid (refer 3 Pets for rules).
- If an online booking has been made & Country Getaways has been advised that you are bringing a pet, you authorise that the $100 refundable pet bond is processed to the card used for the booking transaction.
- Long Weekends, SA Schoolies & Peak Season Bonds
- For any bookings on long weekends, SA school holidays, SA schoolies & peak season; a $300 refundable security bond is to be paid by credit card prior to obtaining key access details (not applicable when a property bond is already in place).
- Debit Cards
- Please note for any reservations where a debit card is used as a form of payment, a $300 refundable security bond must be paid.

Refundable bonds are only to be processed to a credit card.
-
Refer to specific property details for security or pet bond details. The property cleaner will advise the bond status following your departure, and your bond less any debits, will be refunded within 14 business days of your date of departure via the method paid.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Standard cancellation conditions apply, includes cancellation of reservations & days.
- If cancelled 28 days or more prior to occupancy: The non-refundable deposit $200 is forfeited. In special circumstances we may be able to offer you alternative dates, less a $35 administration fee.
- If cancelled 21 – 27 days prior to occupancy; 10% of cost of accommodation or non-refundable deposit $200, whichever is greater.
- If cancelled 14 – 20 days prior to occupancy; 50% of cost of accommodation or non-refundable deposit $200, whichever is greater.
- If cancelled up to 13 days prior to occupancy; 100% of cost of accommodation.

For payments made using credit or debit card, the fees associated with the payment method are non-refundable.
-
Any cancellations received that are due to 'change of mind' will incur a $35 administration fee in addition to the above standard cancellation conditions.
-
Advice of cancellations received outside of normally business hours will be considered to be received as a cancellation notification on the next business day for processing.
-
No refunds are applicable should you decide to shorten your stay after arrival.
-
If you are a 'no show' for an expected arrival date and payment has not been received, an amount equal to the first nights accommodation will be processed to a credit card on file.
-
In circumstances where there is a state, national or international event impacting travel or inability to travel which is beyond our control (for example, a government directive), any reservations in place at the time where the guest is not able to travel, will have monies already paid to that date placed into a client account for future use at the same property within a defined period. Please refer to the Country Getaways Coronavirus response page for COVID-19 information.

The provision of services and utilities by a third-party (including power, water, gas and internet) is outside of the control of Country Getaways, and lack/reduction of service by that provider is not the responsibility of Country Getaways or the property owner. With the service provision being beyond the control of Country Getaways, no refunds are applicable for issues with service delivery of utilities.
- Country Getaways reserves the right to cancel (subject to a full refund) a booking if:
- they deem the property to be unsuitable for the guests who booked;
- it is determined that rate the property was advertised at was more than 10% less than the actual rate. This happens very occasionally due to technological issues and is outside the control of Country Getaways;
- circumstances beyond the control of Country Getaways prevent a booking from going ahead as planned.
6. Seasons, Rates & Length Of Stay
- The following shows the seasons for tariffs. All rates are quoted per night in AUD.
- LOW: 1 May – 31 October
- HIGH: 1 November – 30 April; plus all long weekends, special events in the vicinity & Yorke Peninsula Field Days
- PEAK: Easter, and Christmas/New Year, (26 December-31 January)
Costing calculation: Rate x Number of nights + Cleaning Fee + $35 administration fee = Total Price

The rates displayed on our website ('tariff') are based on the number and type of guests for the specified time and duration. Any changes to those items may result in an increase to the tariff and you agree to pay any increase at the time of change.

The tariff quoted is in Australian dollars and current at the time of booking and is inclusive of GST (unless expressly stated otherwise). The tariff only becomes firm upon your payment in full for the specified time and duration.
-
Tariffs will change from time to time, however any existing bookings will be honoured at the published tariff at the time of booking.
-
All bookings are for a minimum of 2 nights (except where indicated 1 night bookings are allowed, or at the discretion of Country Getaways on a case by case basis). In addition, seasonal minimum length of stays apply for long weekend (3 nights), Easter (4 nights), and Christmas/New Year (7 nights).

Property specials may be available throughout the year. Existing bookings cannot be edited to include a special not available at the time of booking.
-
Discounts or specials are not available during peak season or over long weekends.
-
Property specials are only available for purchase during advertised validity dates. Any posted rates are on a first-come, first served basis and may change after posting according to availability.
-
Property specials are subject to change without prior notice.
-
Extensions made to bookings while staying at a property must be paid for by credit card at the time of extending.
-
Long term bookings (minimum 28 days) may be eligible for a discount for their stay (cannot be applied to an existing booking; conditions apply).
-
Re-bookings for Peak times (26 December to 31 January, and Easter) must be made with the office anytime during a guest's stay. Current guests have the first option to re-book the premises for the same dates the following year; once a guest vacates the premises this option is lost. Re-bookings can only be made via phone 8832 2623 during business hours (excluding weekends & public holidays), and will only be accepted when the previous occupancy has been satisfactory.
7. Booking & Administration Fees

All bookings will incur a $35 non-refundable booking fee.
-
Multiple changes of a reservation/booking will incur additional $35 administration fees.
-
When making more than one booking for the same dates and under the same name, company or group, guests will receive a maximum of one complimentary booking fee.
8. Payment Options
-
Country Getaways can take payments by bank deposit/transfer, or credit & debit card (Visa or Mastercard only, surcharge applies for credit and debit card payments. Bank fees for payments made using credit and debit card are non-refundable).
-
Payments by debit or credit card can also be made through the guest/client portal following a booking being made, and portal access details provided.
-
The Country Getaways office does not have cash handling facilities, and bank deposit is the only payment method available for guests paying by cash.
-
Country Getaways Gift Vouchers cannot be used as payment for online bookings, and payments using vouchers must be arranged by phone or email to the office.
-
Please note that for payments made by debit card, a security bond is applicable (see 4. Refundable Bonds).
-
For online bookings, the full amount is payable upon making the booking including the refundable security bond (payment using Visa or Mastercard only). Please refer to the online booking screen for fee breakdowns, including any online booking fees.
-
Payments via bank transfer are restricted to no more than 4 payments. More than 4 payments will incur a $35 administration fee per payment.
-
Please note that a pre-authorisation amount of $1 is held for verification of your card. This is a financial institution process, not a charge by Country Getaways, and the $1 held amount will be released back to your card (usually within 7 days).
-
Bookings for stays where the arrival date is less than 21 days prior to occupancy must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
9. Property Information
-
Our holiday rental properties are owned by individuals who provide amenities of their own varying standard and style.
-
The property descriptions and features list shown on the website reflect the amenities and facilities at a property; if not stated within the property description or features list, that amenity is not available at that specific property.
-
Some holiday houses have WiFi available for guests to use during their stay, and this is shown as available in the property description and features list. If no WiFi is provided for guest access, guests are expected to connect to their personal mobile hotspot.
-
Please note that WiFi supply or network reception for mobile hotspot is outside the control of Country Getaways of the property owner. Please check network coverage maps for your provider for phone usage and mobile hotspot.
-
An information folder is provided at each property, normally in a highly visible location such as the kitchen bench or coffee table; and notices can be found on the fridge. Please familiarise yourself with this information as it can help to answer questions regarding the property and your stay.
-
All properties are self-contained and are not serviced mid-stay unless requested and prearranged.
-
If you have hired linen for your stay, this will be placed at the end of the beds (in packs/folded) ready for you to make up the beds. If making up of beds has been arranged and paid for, beds at your accommodation (excluding top bunks) will be made up ready for your arrival.
10. What To Bring
-
All properties are fully self-contained; however personal requirements and consumables are not supplied. Please refer to property details for specific information.
-
Please bring sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, bath mats, handtowels and tea-towels (except where indicated it is included; please bring quilts/pillows if not supplied, refer property descriptions for inclusions). For health and hygiene reasons, linen and bedding must be used on all beds.
-
Linen hire may be available; refer 2 Linen for more details.
-
Whilst some properties may have minimal quantities of toilet paper, washing powders & detergents, and soap; it is expected that guests will bring their own items for the length of their stay.
-
Generally, nothing is provided in the way of food items. Guests need to bring their own tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and other food stuffs; however some properties may provide small quantities as a starter pack for your stay.
11. Keys
-
All properties have keysafes and you will need to contact Country Getaways within 7 days of your arrival to obtain a code for key access. Refer to your confirmation travel documents for instructions on using the keysafe.
-
Please do not tamper with the keysafe, as this may require replacement at your cost.
-
Please take care with the keys, and do not lose them or lock them inside the house.
-
If keys are misplaced by the guest, a service fee of $55 will apply to let you in with a spare set of keys. If keys cannot be located, it is deemed to be a loss of keys and will result in a $100-$300 fee for changing the locks, new remotes (if applicable) and key cutting.
12. Upon Arrival
-
Guests must inform the Country Getaways office immediately upon arrival of any damage, faults or breakage to the property and its contents by phoning our office 08 8832 2623 or after-hours number 0408 825 591, and guests are asked to provide supporting information (photos or video) via email with the details of their booking including reservation number.
-
Country Getaways has a dedicated after-hours support number, and any issues or concerns should be reported as soon as practical via phone or SMS. With the seasonal and weekend nature of stays, guests are encouraged to report anything irrespective of whether it's a weekend or public holiday, so that appropriate action can be taken to rectify.
-
If a property is reported as dirty or with damage, Country Getaways reserves the right to inspect and have the property cleaned or repairs made as soon as possible or practical.
-
If no contact regarding the condition of the property is made, it is deemed that guests have accepted the property in the condition of arrival; and that any damage/fault will be considered to have occurred during the guest's stay and charged accordingly. All damages and extra cleaning will be deducted from the refundable security bond or credit card details.
-
At certain times of the year (mainly Winter), you may be required to turn on power and hot water at the meter box upon arrival. Please note that if the power is off, often you will not have hot water until the following morning; you may also need to press the boost button for the hot water service (refer to property information folder).
-
Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions information for troubleshooting during your stay, which can also be accessed through the QR code located on the fridge in each property.
13. Check-in & Check-out
-
Check-in is from 2.00pm, unless an early check-in has been arranged. Refer to item 12 Upon Arrival and contact Country Getaways on 08 8832 2623 if required.
-
Check-out is by 10.00am, unless a late check-out or day use has been arranged. Upon departure, secure the property, return keys to the keysafe and scramble the keysafe code to lock.
-
Please note that Country Getaways may on occasion ask a guest to arrive at a later time to allow for maintenance and/or cleaning to be carried out at a property to ensure it is ready for arrival.
-
Day-use of properties can be arranged at time of booking, and the rate for day-use is calculated at ½ the nightly tariff. Day-use is typically used on the day of departure and a check-out time of 6pm is given; day-use can be used on the day of arrival, with check-in available from 8am.
14. No Smoking
-
There is strictly no smoking inside all properties. If smoking has taken place inside the property or smoke is smelt inside, an amount of $200 will be deducted from your credit card or taken from your bond.
-
Please respect the environment and dispose of butts thoughtfully in the bin or in the disposal tin provided.
15. Important Information
-
All bookings are accepted by Country Getaways in good faith but are subject to change prior to the commencement of the booking. In the unlikely event that this happens, Country Getaways will assist in finding a suitable alternative.
-
Should there be a pricing miscalculation due to human or technical error at the time of booking or changes made (including extra nights), the guest will be made aware of the error and can choose to cancel the booking or extra nights; or pay monies due based upon the advertised and published rate.
-
Should a property be sold or deemed inhabitable outside of Country Getaway's control; Country Getaways will make arrangements to relocate guests to an alternate available property with any differences in rates to be paid by the guests; or a refund will be made.
-
These terms and conditions may be negotiable, dependant on the time of year and at our discretion. In some cases, we may be able to hold payment "in trust" for use within a 3 month period for use at the same property. If not used within 3 months, the amount held will be forfeited.
- It is recommended to consider personal travel insurance for any domestic travel.
16. During Your Stay
-
Please do not move furniture around the property, as this will invariably cause damage which you are responsible for.
-
Please be considerate of your neighbours & residents regarding excessive noise and disruption during your stay. Reports of constant noise may result in termination of your tenancy.
-
From time to time, there may be mice in some properties which is part of rural living; mice can be difficult to control in the winter months as they are seeking warmth. We do our best to keep on top of mice; but ask that you please do your bit by emptying any dead mice in mouse traps and re-setting and keeping doors closed.
17. Electricity, Gas & Hot Water
-
Electricity is included in the rental cost.
-
All gas (household and barbecue) is included in the rental cost. If gas bottles are empty, refer to the information folder within the property for refill/swap arrangements or contact Country Getaways on 08 8832 2623.
-
If household gas bottles have run out, please switch to the other bottle and advise Country Getaways of the bottle changeover; or if both bottles are empty contact Country Getaways on 08 8832 2623.
-
If you run out of hot water, please phone Country Getaway to discuss; often it is simply that the use has exceeded the capacity of the hot water service. Please check power is on and try using the boost button for the hot water service to see if this rectifies it. If a tradesperson is called and it is deemed that the usage of hot water has emptied the tank (and there is no fault with the hot water unit), then the cost of the call out will be borne by the guest.

For long-term stays, utilities (electricity, gas, hot water, internet) may be charged to the guest separately.
18. Cleaning & Departure Process
- As a cleaning fee is paid at time of booking, you are not required to thoroughly clean the property before departure (sweep and mop etc). However, please note the minimum requirements below:
- Empty your general waste into the red-lidded waste bin and recycling into the yellow-lidded recycling bin; put out in street for collection (see folder within property for details on collection days). Rubbish not contained within a bin or overflowing bin must be taken with you. Refer item 19 for further details about rubbish and recycling.
- Wash, wipe and put away any crockery/cutlery, and/or unpack dishwasher.
- Remove any food scraps and clean barbecue.
- Dispose of any cigarette butts in the rubbish bin (red lid).
- Remove any foodstuffs from fridge and freezer and wipe any spills.
- Leave the property in a clean & tidy condition.
- Lock all windows and doors and leave things as they were found (eg hot water).
- Return keys where found or to keysafe and scramble numbers to lock securely.
- Barbecues must be properly cleaned at the end of your stay. If found to be unclean, a $50 barbecue cleaning fee will be charged.

Country Getaways reserve the right to charge an additional fee if any of the above is not done on departure. Any charges will be invoiced to you, recouped from your refundable security bond or debited to your credit card following a phone call or email from our office.
19. Rubbish & Recycling
-
All rubbish and recycling must be contained within the appropriate wheelie bin. If it does not fit, you must take it with you. Please call Country Getaways on 08 8832 2623 for advice or clarification.
-
Excess rubbish or recycling is not to be left next to the bins for collection, as this will not be collected.
-
Red-lidded garbage bin are for general garbage and yellow-lidded bin are for recyclable items only. If the recycling bin is contaminated with waste there will be a fee applicable, as the recycling collectors will not take it for collection or sorting.
-
Please put bins out on collection day during your stay (refer to property notices) AND upon departure.
-
If the rubbish or recycling bin is not put out for the weekly/fortnightly scheduled collection, Country Getaways may need to arrange a special collection with the cost to be paid by the guest. The minimum cost of this to the guests is $25.00.
20. Property Damage
-
Refer to 12 Upon Arrival; please advise any damage found on arrival so that we may rectify accordingly.
-
We take pride in the properties we offer and we realise accidents can and do happen; please advise Country Getaways on 08 8832 2623 of any incidents.
-
Costs to repair damage not advised upon arrival as per item 12 will be invoiced to you, recouped from your refundable security bond or debited to your credit card following a phone call or email from our office.
-
If a complaint is lodged with SA Police over damage caused during a stay, the guest is required to pay costs incurred to return the property to standard.
-
In addition to the refundable security bond being held, the guest is liable for costs incurred and the balance is to be paid within 2 weeks of advice of damage and issue of invoice to the guest.
21. Repairs & Maintenance
-
If a property is reported as dirty or with damage, Country Getaways reserves the right to inspect and have the property cleaned or repairs made as soon as possible or practical.
-
Should you request a tradesperson to carry out a repair that is not urgent, the cost will be borne by the guest.
-
If you advise maintenance and CG/owner arranges a maintenance person to attend, and the guests turns them away or refuse access, the cost of any callout is to be borne by the guest.
-
Any maintenance issues must be reported to our office or phoned through to the afterhours number. No responsibility will be accepted for maintenance accounts not directed through the Country Getaways office.
-
If re-tuning of televisions or other electronic equipment is required following a stay, guests will be invoiced any costs incurred.
22. Lost Property & Retrieved Items
-
Please check carefully before you leave the property, as we cannot guarantee any items left behind will be found and returned to you.
-
In the event of items left at a property – the agent takes no responsibility for any items left behind. If a guest calls to report of items left behind, Country Getaways will endeavour to contact the cleaner to retrieve them for which there will be a minimum charge of $30 plus postage costs to be paid by the guest prior to posting items.
-
Left items will be kept for 4 weeks; if we don't hear from a guest or receive payment for the retrieval and postage the items will be disposed of.
All prices are GST inclusive
Country Getaways Pet Rules
Pets are accepted at specific Country Getaways properties on the condition that:
- We are advised PRIOR to your arrival that there will be pets on the premises (failure to do this will result in immediate termination of the tenancy and a $100 charged to your card).
- A pet bond applies (minimum $100/pet). A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted at any one property. (Your bond will be refunded within 14 business days of your date of departure).
- Dogs (puppies) aged under 12 months old are not permitted at any property.
- You clean up after your pet in every way (excrement must be wrapped and placed in bins).
- Damage to garden or any other property is rectified or replaced immediately.
- BYO bedding- dogs must not sleep on beds, couches, or any other part of the furniture.
- For accommodation where pets are allowed, please note the below
- Refer to the individual property information to find out whether pets are allowed inside or outside only. Please note that not all pet friendly properties allow pets inside.
- When allowed inside, pets must not sleep on furniture.
- For properties where pets are permitted inside, guests are required to clean up after the pet including vacuuming floors to remove pet hair or extra cleaning charged may apply.
- Some properties allow pets to be strictly outside only. It is asked that guests respect the rules of the property and pets remain outside the house.
- Dogs are to be kept OUTSIDE the house or in wet areas of the house unless otherwise arranged with Country Getaway.
- Dogs are not to be left unattended inside house at any time.
- Consideration is given to neighbours. If reports of constant barking are received, your tenancy will be immediately terminated or you will be asked to remove the dog.
- BYO Food bowls. Crockery or bowls that belongs to the house are not for dog's use.
- Poo Patrol is done prior to departure. A $50 fee will apply and a deduction made from credit card or bond if poo is left in yard. (Needs to be wrapped and placed in bin).
- If there are fleas found at the property, your Bond is forfeited
