Escape by the Dunes

Located an easy walk to the Balgowan beachfront, Escape by the Dunes is a single level holiday house with a large spacious yard.

Escape by the Dunes sleeps up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms, with 2 bedrooms in the main house – queen, bunk; and a rumpus room with a 3rd bedroom – double & bunk. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office.

There are 2 bathrooms at Escape by the Dunes with the main bathroom in the house having a walk-in shower & vanity, with a separate toilet. In the rumpus room is a bathroom with walk-in shower, vanity & toilet.

In the main house, the open plan dining room & kitchen area has reverse cycle split system air-conditioning, while the rumpus room has air-conditioning in the bedroom. The queen and bunk bedrooms in the main house have ceiling fans.

The lounge room in the main house is spacious with sofa and armchair seating options, and a large television. A VCR player and a range of videos, plus selection of board games are available for guests during their stay. Escape by the Dunes also provides complimentary WiFi access for guests, and there is a 2nd television in the rumpus room.

There is a well equipped kitchen with an electric stove & cooktop, microwave, rain water, coffee plunger & large side-by-side fridge/freezer, plus a range of small kitchen appliances including slow cooker, toaster & air fryer.

Escape by the Dunes has a top load washing machine for guests, with a clothesline in the rear yard.

Outside, guest can enjoy the large undercover entertaining area located between the main house & rumpus room with dining seating, an outdoor lounge and hooded barbecue.

Pets are welcome inside at Escape by the Dunes by prior arrangement with Country Getaways, and the rear yard is fenced. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay (please note no cats).

There is off-street parking for up to 3 cars with room for a boat in the driveway, and the single-lane Balgowan boat ramp is around a 5 minute drive away.

Whilst the township of Balgowan doesn't have any shops, Maitland is only a short drive inland or Moonta is around a 30-minute drive to the north. Both towns have a range of shops including supermarkets, hardware, chemist and much more, and a great range of dining options and cafes.

With bedrooms and bathrooms in the main house and rumpus room, Escape by the Dunes is a great accommodation choice for families or couple, or corporate travellers working on Yorke Peninsula.
