Once a busy ketch port, Port Julia still has that nautical feel and is a quiet laidback town on the eastern coastline of Yorke Peninsula.
The jetty is popular for fishing and holidaymakers wanting to get a feed of seafood. If you plan to do some crabbing, make sure you check your tide times, and the best months for crabbing are those with an ‘r’ in them.
A white sandy beach awaits you at Port Julia, which is perfect for families.
There are no shopping facilities at Port Julia, however stop off at Ardrossan on the way, or take a drive to Port Vincent 10 minutes to the south to stock up on supplies. Both towns offer a supermarket, butcher, chemist, hardware store and more.
Port Julia is located approximately 2 hours from Adelaide.
