Located just 5 minutes' walk to the Port Victoria beachfront, the Passat Holiday Units are comprised of 3 self-contained units with everything you need for a holiday on Yorke Peninsula.

Passat Holiday Units – Unit 1 has 2 bedrooms with a queen, bunk (2 singles), and can sleep up to 4 people. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office.

The bathroom is spacious with a walk-in shower, vanity & toilet.

There is split system reverse cycle air-conditioning in the living area, with ceiling fans in the master bedroom and living area.

The living area is open plan and comprises the lounge room, dining area & kitchen, with a large television (with USB & HDMI), board games and complimentary WiFi for guests.

There is a well-equipped kitchen with an electric stove, microwave, coffee machine, Espresso coffee percolator and medium sized fridge/freezer.

Outside, Passat Holiday Units – Unit 1 has outdoor seating on the front veranda and a hooded gas barbecue.

In the grounds of the Passat Holiday Units complex are laundry facilities which are shared by all 3 units, with a top load washing machine.

Each unit has exclusive use of the outdoor space adjacent to their unit, which is clearly identified within the property information and is private use for guests of that specific unit during their stay. The driveway, laundry & fish cleaning area is a shared space between all 3 units.

Pets are welcome inside at the Passat Holiday Units by prior arrangement with Country Getaways, and please note that the yard is unfenced. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet (small dogs only) with you for your stay.

There is off-street parking for 1 car in front of the unit, and boat parking available for 1 boat per booking. The off-street driveway is shared by all 3 units in the accommodation complex.

For those coming to fish, the Port Victoria boat ramp is just a quick drive to the south, or if you haven't been lucky with catching a feed, Gill Fisheries is located within the town for seafood sales.

From the Passat Holiday Units, it's just a short walk to the main street and jetty precinct, with the Port Victoria Kiosk, hotel, supermarket, and maritime museum all within easy walking distance.

When all 3 units are booked together, they are ideal for group stays with the whole complex at your disposal, and plenty of off-street parking in the driveway.

The Passat Holiday Units sleep 12 people when all 3 units are booked for the same group (units must be booked as separate transactions online or via phone call to the Country Getaways office).

About Port Victoria

Port Victoria is located on the western coastline of Yorke Peninsula and has a wealth of maritime heritage for history lovers.

Anyone with a love for the sea and its history must visit Port Victoria, which is known as the last of the windjammer ports. The small Port Victoria Maritime Museum at the start of the jetty showcases the town's history and maritime heritage and is well worth a visit.

Today Port Victoria is a paradise for fishers and divers alike. The Port Victoria Jetty is long and popular with swimmers and fishers.

The Wardang Island Maritime Heritage Trail offers 8 shipwrecks surrounding the nearby waters off Wardang Island.  You can explore these and the underwater diving trail is very popular with divers. If you’re not a diver, there are 6 land-based interpretative signs.

The popular Port Victoria Geology Trail goes from south of the jetty for 4km to Rifle Butts Beach. Pick up a brochure for this trail from the local shop. There are also foreshore walking trails, stretching both north and south from the jetty.

Port Victoria has a hotel, takeaway and general store. Nearby Maitland is just 10 minutes drive to the north for all other needs including hardware store, chemist and bakery.

For something completely different you can experience 40,000 years of aboriginal dreaming, culture and heritage by joining a tour with Aboriginal Cultural Tours - Adjahdura Land, Yorke Peninsula. This award-winning tour operator has tours of nearby Point Pearce and its Aboriginal lands.  It also takes tour groups to Innes National Park at the foot of Yorke Peninsula.

Port Victoria is located approximately 2 hours from Adelaide.
